Dubarry Waterproof and Breathable Leather Boots

IT'S SIMPLE

It's fairly straight forward - if you remain on dry land, your feet will stay dry. However, if you're in the wet and want dry feet, you'll put on rubber boots, as water cannot penetrate rubber or PVC.

But that's not quite the reality. Because rubber and plastics are impermiable to moisture, they cannot breathe. Your feet will react, sometimes sweating unpleasantly. The average pair of feet perspires about a glass of fluid each day. That lquid cools off, with the result that your feet feel cold and wet.

THE POWER OF LEATHER

Leather breathes, but it's not totally waterproof. Dubarry's leather boots, however, are both waterproof and breathable. Our special process combines soft supple leather with a GORE-TEX lining. Dubarry boots will keep your feet (and socks) warm and dry because they allow your feet to breathe while keeping water out.

THE LEATHER

This Dubarry leather absorbes 60% less moisture and requires 70% less time to dry than other types of leather, ensuring that your Dubarry boots will always stay soft and comfortable.

THE SOLE

Specially developed by Dubarry, the sole is directly moulded to the upper to creat one piece, with no gluing or stitching, giving a perfect seal to keep out water. It has a durable rubber outsole and springy EVA innersole for lightweight optimal comfort. The sole is also designed to be 'stirrup friendly' for equestrian use and has been tested rigorousely for all outdoor pursuits.

GORE-TEX

The secret of Dubarry boots is the GORE-TEX inner lining. GORE-TEX makes the boots 100% waterproof but wicks away perspiration keeping your feet dry.
